Hello world ? Anyone looking for a 2023 knitting blog ?

Once upon a while, having a blog was popular and hype. Hundreds of knitting blogs existed. It no longer is the case. So why yet another knitting blog ? Because my head is full of knitting and I tend to bore to death people with all my unsolicited knitting advice. These people don’t even knit. My hope is that this blog might be a useful source of inspiration or reflexion for fellow knitters.

I will be giving unsolicited knitting advice, but I have no intention of learning you how to knit. Many content creators do a fantastic job at it. I will simply knit to them as I see fit. On this blog, I am documenting my own learning process. I am still learning and have made many mistakes. These mistakes will be my main source of inspiration.

I will also be giving you my opinions about knitting books, different yarns, the history of knitting, which are my favourite sheep wools, etc. You will get my opinions about what I consider to be sustainable knitting or not.

I do tend to bore people to death with my knitting passion. If you are a knitter, you might find some interest in my blog posts for your own creative endeavours as I will mention my sources and give you links to content creators I like, podcasts I listen to, etc. If some stuff I share here might at times share strong similarity with articles around knitting on Wikipedia in French, that’s because I am a Wikipedia user and some of my contributions on Wikipedia in French are indeed about knitting (and let’s face it, hardly any other user is currently editing these articles). I don’t do affiliate links.

In short, I think it best I bore you rather than other people. If you are a fellow-knitter, you might find some interest in it. My selling point to you is : 1) I am independant (if I recommand you something, it’s not because I am getting paid to do so), 2) I will source my information if it doesn’t stem from my own brain, 3) I have an endless supply of advice for a better knitting experience 4) this is an authentic journey.

  1. I think a blog is a great way to put structure to all the knowledge in your mind. I write mine mostly to help me track my projects, reviews, and opinions, and if anyone can find information they need there, that is a plus!
